Role reports to: Product Compliance Senior Specialist IV
Location: 890 Woodlawn Rd. W in Guelph, ON - Hybrid (1-2 days/week in office)
Travel %: 0-10%
Pay: Anticipated weekly pay rate of ($775 - $915) depending on skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors

What you will do

This Co-Op with the Product Quality team will provide you with an opportunity to deliver solutions to consumers in real time! The intern will be a key member of the team helping achieve a key objective of timely delivery of consumer products. You will also maintain and publish key performance indicating metrics for the team. In addition, you will get an overview of the intricacies of a complex supply chain and challenges of navigating through it.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and review quality documentation against pre-determined specifications, including but not limited to batch records, certificates of analysis, and certificates of manufacture for product approval

• Prioritize batch release review activities and oversee management of a shared e-mail inbox Work with the internal quality team to support initiatives with internal and external suppliers and manufacturers on quality related issues

• Support the collection, review and organization of master documentation data, both hard copy and electronically, to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations

• Lead and provide support to various continuous improvement initiatives

• Supports product qualification and validation activities as part of ongoing support to marketed products as well as new product launches

• Maintain oversight of all batches awaiting release and focus on prioritizing batch reviews such that urgent batches are handled as soon as possible, and non-urgent items are completed in a timely manner

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• An active student currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree (BA/BS)

• Minimum of 2 years completed of a 4-year bachelor's degree

• Eligible to complete an 8-month co-op term at Guelph, Ontario, Canada

• Ability to work during the duration of the assignment. The program will be active from Monday-Friday starting in mid-August 2025

Desired Qualifications

• A focused degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Biological Sciences is preferred

• Maintains a high level of organization in a dynamic environment

• A desire to tackle problems keeping the end user at the center

• Strong social skills, including professional communications, both orally and through email, with internal and external partners

• Ability to take initiative to continuously improve personally and through optimizing processes used in the role

• Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset are essential

• Strong computer skills (e.g. use of Word, Outlook and Excel), and the ability to learn new software systems

• Able to work effectively in a team through open communication and collaboration
