This position reports into Sr Maintenance and Facilities Manager and is based at Guelph, ON.

What you will do
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of Facilities department activities. This includes but is not limited to compliance and quality activities such as investigations, trainings, and audits, and any other work to support safety, quality, and GMP documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop maintenance/calibration standards, planning and schedule programs in CMMS Maximo as per preventative maintenance and calibration program.
• Establish procedures and conduct studies of facilities to enhance industrial health and safety or to identify and correct fire and other hazards.
• Develop reporting metrics for GMP compliance and preventative maintenance program.
• Lead facility improvement projects, collaborate with consulting engineers for equipment /facility specifications, design reviews, project execution and support multidisciplinary teams of technicians, administrative staff and contractors.
• Coordinate and liaise with facilities vendors as needed.
• Download, analyze, and trend Facilities data as needed.
• Lead investigations, CAPAs and change controls, ensuring quality and accuracy of documentation as well as adherence to established due dates.
• Write Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and risk assessments.
• Lead the department record retention activities.
• Support contractors GMP compliance as well as other compliance tasks/functions and company programs.
• Prepare qualification protocols as needed.
• Interface regularly with Quality Assurance, EHS, Manufacturing and other functional areas in order to remove obstacles, resolve issues, and to help facilitate critical decisions pertaining to compliance.
• Represent the Facilities department on various compliance topics, and coordinate responses to inspection observations.
• Review work record documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance, and provide guidance to Facilities technicians and other internal customers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with training specialists regularly to mitigate any compliance risks associated with the Facilities training program.
• Continually reassess Facilities systems and processes for adherence to cGMPs and company standard methodologies, and implement changes/improvements as needed.
• Any other work to support safety, quality and GMP documentation requirements in the department as needed.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities experience, preferred in a GMP environment
Desired Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to facility operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with CMMS systems such as Maximo
• Experience or certification in quality or compliance management or related field is a plus
• Experience with data analytics and tools is an asset
• Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and judgment
• Excellent interpersonal, influence, planning, organizing, and time management skills
• Superior team player with a collaborative approach
• Proficiency in MS Office software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
