Downtown Groundskeeping Services Inc. is hiring a Snow Removal - Snow Shoveler / Crew Lead in Etobicoke, ON. This is a full-time position.

Our Winter Crews handle high-traffic and complex sites, ensuring every one meets our strict quality standards. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Operate snow removal equipment such as Snowrators, snow blowers, snow shovels, brine applicators or salt spreaders to remove snow and ice from designated areas. Communicate updates, issues, damage and anomalies to relevant parties. Apply salt, brine, or other de-icing agents to surfaces to improve traction and melt ice. Be prepared to respond to emergency calls for snow removal, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions. Promote a positive and professional team environment through effective communication and being solution focused. Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines. Perform various snow removal and de-icing as required Qualifications On-call availability, especially during evenings, weekends and holidays from November - April One or more years of snow crew or snow equipment experience First Aid certification preferred Valid G driver's license and clean abstract (Lead) Ability to drive a Truck and Trailer (Lead) Strong communication skills Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable Positive and professional team attitude Physical Demands / Work Environment Seasonal - as needed. Occasional extended hours may be required Work outdoors in many different conditions. (Read: Most of them.) Travel (between job sites, etc.) Lift and move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds Lots of standing, bending and crouching Lots of repetitive tasks Occasional exposure to wet and/or cold conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals Moderate noise levels Wearing of PPE We do not use Artificial Intelligence to screen, assess and/or select applicants.
