Downtown Groundskeeping Services Inc. is hiring a Snow Removal - Brine / Salt Truck Operator in Etobicoke, ON. This is a full-time position.

As one of our Brine Truck Operators, you will blend your professional winter experience with your eye for detail and health and safety. Our standards are high and yours should be too. Our Brine Truck Operators handle high-traffic and complex sites, ensuring every one meets our strict quality standards. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Promote a positive team environment through motivation, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving skills Operate equipment including, but not limited to, brine trucks, salters, pickup trucks and others to apply melting and de-icing agents. Work with Operations and snow removal crews to maintain clean sites, ensuring no property or equipment damage. Respond to emergency calls for brine, salt and patrols. Perform various snow removal, application and de-icing tasks as required Communicate updates, issues and anomalies (good and bad) to the Division Manager Enter and maintain timesheets Complete site and equipment documentation Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment and report any issues, damages, etc. Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to clients as required by Management Qualifications Minimum 2 years of practical experience in a snow removal role One or more years of salter and brine application equipment experience First Aid certification preferred Valid G driver's license and clean abstract Strong communication skills Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable Positive and professional team attitude Physical Demands / Work Environment Seasonal - as needed. Occasional extended hours may be required Work outdoors in many different conditions. (Read: Most of them.) Travel (between job sites, etc.) Lift and move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds Lots of standing, bending and crouching Lots of repetitive tasks Occasional exposure to wet and/or cold conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals Moderate noise levels Wearing of PPE We do not use Artificial Intelligence to screen, assess and/or select applicants.
