The Digital Delivery Co-op will support TRP’s digital engineering workflows, helping manage and develop digital design environments, data standards, and project coordination tools. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Digital Delivery Co-op will play a key role in supporting TRP’s digital engineering and project delivery workflows across major infrastructure projects. This position focuses on maintaining and enhancing digital design environments, ensuring adherence to data standards, and supporting the effective use of project coordination tools. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the co-op will assist with BIM and CAD management, contribute to digital twin initiatives, and help streamline data governance practices. This role offers hands-on exposure to innovative project technologies and provides an opportunity to develop technical and collaborative skills within a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and supporting project-wide CAD/BIM standards, templates, and digital design guidelines.
  • Help prepare, review, and validate 2D/3D models and digital deliverables for compliance with TRP standards.
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and quality control of project datasets in tools such as SQL, ACC, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot file management, model coordination, and digital workflow issues.
  • Perform data audits, metadata checks, and digital quality assurance
  • Assist with clash detection exercises and coordination reviews using tools such as Navisworks.
  • Participate in digital delivery meetings and help document technical issues, resolutions, and process updates.
  • Contribute to automation or process improvements (e.g., scripts, templates, dashboards) under team guidance.

  • Conduct research on digital engineering technologies, standards, and best practices relevant to large-scale transit projects.

Qualification & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in Engineering, Architectural Technology, Computer Science, Building Technology, Geomatics, or a related technical program.
  • Demonstrated interest in digital engineering, construction technology, or infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure to CAD or BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or MicroStation through coursework, projects, or internships.
  • Experience working on team-based projects in an academic or co-op environment is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with digital workflows or data-driven design concepts is an asset.
