Job Summary: Clintar is looking for a dependable and hardworking Landscape Construction & Enhancement Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate has some experience in landscaping, construction, or other outdoor work and is comfortable working with hand tools, power equipment, and landscape materials. This is a hands-on position working alongside a crew to complete landscape maintenance, enhancement, and construction projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and gain experience in a variety of landscaping and construction projects. Responsibilities: Assist with a variety of landscape construction and enhancement projects, including planting, mulching, pruning, garden installation, interlock and stone work, grading, decking, fencing, and other landscape features. Perform manual labour including moving soil, mulch, stone, plants, and other landscape materials. Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, installation, and clean-up as directed. Operate a variety of landscaping and construction tools and equipment, including blowers, trimmers, pruning equipment, compactors, and other hand and power tools. Assist with the safe loading, unloading, transportation, and organization of tools, equipment, and materials. Work safely around trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and other machinery. Follow instructions from the Crew Lead, Foreman, or Supervisor and complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for Company tools and equipment. Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any damage, defects, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Identify and immediately report workplace hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or near misses. Follow all Company policies and procedures, including applicable health and safety requirements and the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with coworkers, supervisors, and customers while working on site. Assist with general landscape maintenance duties as required, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, raking, and property clean-up. Perform other duties related to landscape maintenance, enhancement, and construction as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in landscaping, construction, horticulture, or general labour is an asset. Experience with landscape construction, interlock, stone installation, grading, planting, or other hardscape/softscape work is an asset. Valid G driver's licence is an asset. Comfortable operating hand tools, power tools, landscaping equipment, and small-engine equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Good communication and time-management skills. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and other machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on operational requirements. Previous snow removal experience is an asset. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Basic knowledge of landscaping, construction, and outdoor work practices. Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools. Ability to understand and follow health and safety procedures. Ability to work independently when assigned tasks and contribute effectively as part of a crew. Ability to recognize and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, and site concerns. Willingness to learn and take direction from Crew Leads, Foremen, and Supervisors. Professional and respectful communication with coworkers, customers, and management.
