The Shared Business Services Center (SBSC) is seeking motivated, customer-focused professionals to join our dynamic team of specialists! We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all four SBSC teams: Financial, Financial Analysis, Payroll/HR, and Travel (Concur).

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support a variety of financial, payroll, HR, and travel-related processes. Responsibilities may vary slightly by team, but typically include financial tasks such as payment processing, tracking payments, maintaining financial documentation, reconciling accounts, and processing and assisting with travel claims. Payroll support includes personnel transactions, helping employees using the time system, running queries to ensure budget is available for payroll, assisting with new hire paperwork, and onboarding new employees.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Processes reimbursements from OU Foundation funds.
  • Creates financial reports upon request.
  • Reconciles accounts and funds.
  • Processes transfers/budget revisions.
  • Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices, submitting purchase requests, tracking payments, and maintaining documentation.
  • Support purchasing card (Pcard) activity, including reconciling transactions and meeting monthly deadlines.
  • Input financial data into databases.
  • Enters electronic personnel action forms (ePAFs) and funding changes.
  • Processes appointment request forms.
  • Submits payroll-related cost transfers.
  • Submits Preauthorization’s and supporting documentation and manages job listings.
  • Provides payroll reports on request.
  • Reviews payroll reports by deadlines, maintaining payroll worksheets by department
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Educational requirements:

  • high school

Desired Skills:

Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, AND:

  • 18 months experience in accounting/bookkeeping or related field.

Skills:

  • Financial or accounting experience to include analysis, auditing and budgeting.
  • Able to understand a chart of accounts and code entries to proper account.
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff.
  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines.
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.
  • Aptitude for excellent customer service.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing.
  • Engage in repetitive motion.
  • Use of computer and calculator.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions, hand/finger dexterity to operate computer.

Departmental Preferences:

  • University experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree.
