Description:
The Senior Program Manager - Suicide Prevention in Health Systems is responsible for overseeing the Healthcare Initiatives team (HCI) at the national Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC). The Director will support the development of innovative training, online courses, tailored resources, practical tools, technical assistance and consultation, and research-informed publications that enhance clinical practice and among providers and promote organizational change among health systems, with a focus on suicide care and the Zero Suicide framework.
In this position, the Director will guide the convening of staff, contractors, and subject matter experts in identifying the needs of the healthcare field and will review, share, and develop information about effective clinical programs, organizational policies, and practices that improve suicide care, prevention, and postvention outcomes across the nation.
Under the supervision of SPRC leadership, this position will oversee and provide expert technical assistance, build prevention capacity in coordination with the other SPRC teams and initiatives, promote the expansion of an informed national workforce, and strengthen suicide prevention infrastructure. A successful candidate will have extensive experience directing behavioral health systems change and an in-depth knowledge of the Zero Suicide approach.

Duties
Directs program administration, overseeing all consulting scopes of work, health care related grant deliverables, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Monitors and manages project scopes, timelines, evaluations, and creation of long-range initiative objectives and workplans.
Serves on various external committees representing SPRC at relevant meetings and conferences, interfacing regularly with the public, contractors, and federal partners.
Ensures the evaluation of programs and trainings developed by the HCI Team.
Directs and plans for needs assessment(s) of health and behavioral health providers and systems, identifying and addressing gaps.
Develops HCI Team goals and objectives to support annual work plans.
Oversees project management and development of training, courses, publications, and resources designed to reach health and behavioral health provider systems.
Provides Team supervision while developing HCI team goals and objectives to support annual grant workplans.
Performs various duties as needed and assigned by SPRC leadership, to successfully execute grant deliverable.
