Description:
This is a full-time position. Rotating work scheduled do not vary, and this includes working on the weekends. The primary responsibilities of the museum guard are as follows:
Performs routine patrols of the facility and grounds to identify safety and security problems.
Monitors entrance control points and security CCTV cameras.
Reports hazardous and suspicious activities and takes corrective action.
Assists with special events and activities, such as setup and takedown of tables and chairs for events.
Collects and issues keys and access cards from and to staff.
Completes security inspections, checking doors and windows.
Monitoring incoming and outgoing deliveries and shipments.
Gallery walkthroughs to ensure the art is protected.
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
