Description:

OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer.

Duties:

  • Picks up and delivers United States Postal Service (USPS) and interdepartmental mail.
  • Picks up USPS mail by utilizing a state owned motor vehicle.
  • Delivers mail to various destinations.
  • May make special mail runs as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assists in preparation of special mailings.
  • Sorts and meters incoming and outgoing mail by route and location.
  • Separates outgoing mail by account number for postage.
  • Maintains state owned motor vehicle, to include but not limited to inspecting the vehicle for engine oil, and brake pressure.
  • Informs central mail supervisor of any deficiencies.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Educational requirements:

  • high school

Desired Skills:

Required Education: High school Diploma/GED

Certifications/Licenses: Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date

Skills:

  • Ability to read and write
  • Excellent driving record
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

Working conditions:

  • Physical:
    • Ability to engage in repetitive motions, loading and unloading heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.), stooping, bending, standing, and climbing often and for prolonged periods, performing physically demanding labor, .
  • Environmental:
    • Working in potentially hazardous conditions, exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor work in all seasons.
