OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, and one of only 73 NCI-Designated Cancer Centers in the United States. At the Stephenson Cancer Center, we have an exciting new job opportunity that could be right for you! The Health Education Coordinator - COE researches, develops, implements and evaluates Health Promotion programs.

Duties:

  • Programs focus on relevant health topics for college students and current topics in general health care.
  • Coordinates and facilitates Health Promotion outreach events and group presentations.
  • Represents OU Health Services and Student Affairs at health fairs, campus-wide events, health fairs and in the university community. Promote Health Services through print, marketing and social media.
  • Promotes OU Health Services through print and electronic advertising and marketing.
  • Interfaces with university departments, outside organizations and state/government agencies to promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Conducts health needs analysis of client groups and target audiences including students, faculty and staff.
  • Collaborates with campus and community departments to provide wellness campaigns.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Educational requirements:

  • high school

Desired Skills:

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, AND:

  • 36 months in health program development.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.

Certifications or Licenses: None

Skills:

  • Must be able to create and deliver effective training presentations
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software
  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
