Description:

The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History Graphic Designer is a mission critical position that will be responsible for the creation of graphic design packages and illustrations that integrate across all museum departments, including public relations and marketing, education and community outreach, exhibits, visitor services, and collections and research. This position creates designs that convey the museum’s mission and vision. This full-time 12-month staff position will report to the Assistant Director and may supervise student employees.

Educational requirements:

Desired Skills:

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, AND:

  • 12 months working as a professional graphic designer.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months of related experience.

Skills:

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Certifications: None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Physical: Ability to engage in repetitive motions. Sit for prolonged periods.
  • Environmental: Standard office environment.
