Description:

The Director of Internal Operations is responsible for oversight of daily administration of the Athletics Compliance Department and reports directly to the Executive Director of Compliance. Duties include but are not limited to direct supervision of Compliance Coordinators and Graduate Assistants, responsible for completion of annual evaluations for Administration of annual evaluations for all staff members, all aspects of hiring, including creation of job posting(s), review of applications, evaluation of candidate(s) via the interview process (in conjunction with directors), completion of new employee paperwork and verification of I-9. Additional duties may include oversight of all personnel with regard to scheduling, training, project management, organization strategies, and employee development, provide assistance to Executive Director with scheduling, research, survey completion, report completion, weekly Quick Sheet and other duties as assigned, responsibility for all administrative functions, including P-Card administration, travel claim completion, reconciliation of account monthly, and budget administration, primary review of all written reports, including violation reports, waivers, annual reports, letters, memos, policies and procedures.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept a minimum of 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
  • Strong initiative to solve problems
  • Must be able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively

  • Must be able to reach, engage in repetitive motions, grasp, feel, touch, speak, hear and see.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Prefer a minimum of 3 years office administration

Supervision: 1-5 Staff
