Description:
The Coordinator of Membership and Community Engagement administers the museum’s stewardship program, identifies and implements strategies to manage and grow membership, migrates members to increased levels of support, organizes member and donor events, and in partnership with the OU Foundation may assist in coordinating philanthropic initiatives, developing innovative strategies to generate increased annual gifts, sponsorships and partnerships, and developing and writing grant applications to achieve sponsorship, partnership and annual and/or strategic goals and institutional priorities.
In partnership with the OU Foundation, they are responsible for building a culture of philanthropy at the Museum and broadening and diversifying the museum’s base of supporters. They will be a strategic, creative thinker, and committed to and enthusiastic about natural and cultural history and have a demonstrated ability to work collegially with the Director, Board members, OU Foundation, members, other stakeholders, and work within a team environment. The Coordinator of Membership and Community Engagement reports to the Assistant Director.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, AND:
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months.
