Overview

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, extensions and more. The role will assist with monthly and quarterly tax duties.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • The primary focus will be to assist with the preparation and review of Federal and State income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments primarily consisting of data gathering, validation and PBC coordination.
  • Secondary responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of monthly sales and use tax returns.
  • Coordinate data gathering and responding to internal and external inquiries.
  • Gather data for transaction tax audits and research related issues.
  • Perform domestic and international technical tax research and prepare written advice.
  • Assist with the calculations of foreign income tax provision and financial statement reporting.
  • Receive, organize, file and dispose of notices from tax authorities
  • Gather data in support of property tax filings
  • Perform other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.


Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (CPA is preferred)
  • 5 + years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax experience
  • Experience with ERP Software and financial reporting consolidation software (preferred)
  • Must have strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
  • Demonstrates pro-active and solution-oriented approach


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Federal and state income tax return preparation experience required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Sales and Use Tax return preparation experience a plus
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with experience in researching, analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and assignments
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones and cultures
