Overview

Responsible for using mechanical engineering principles to design, develop, customize, implement, test and/or sustain TDW products and services solutions for customer applications. Works with a team on problems of a significant scope and complexity - may architect product design, act as a lead or subject matter expert on a project and provide mentoring to other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design components, products, tests and systems.
  • Produces technical deliverables (e.g. 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, test reports, analysis reports, design calculations, tolerance analysis, etc.). Assists with prototype assemblies.
  • Completes or facilitates engineering change requests that provide needed improvements to documentation and design.
  • Works with system level engineering to assist in planning projects and assessing technical feasibility. Leads technical presentations and progress reports.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues that require engineering oversight.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience performing calculations for engineering design.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.


Preferred Experience
  • Pipeline or pressure vessel industry experience
  • Familiar with pipeline, processing, and or pressure vessel codes; ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, Section VIII Div. 1
  • ASME B31.12 expereince a plus
