Overview

Manages supply chain responsibilities and coordinates manufacturing and purchasing activities that achieves prescribed schedules and within quality standards required to maintain and improve competitive position and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Plans and distributes work orders to support manufactured items.
  • Assists in managing product lines to ensure alignment of raw materials and production capabilities, rescheduling existing demand to accommodate new demand and changes through the manufacturing process,
  • Ensures customer demand is met on schedule using MRP and Resource Leveling methodologies.
  • Champions Expedite Process
  • Assists defining KANBAN levels and procedures (internally and with Procurement for Suppliers),
  • Communicates Demands to Manufacturing, including schedules, part availability, available resources, etc.
  • Knowledge of financial impacts and costs associated with supply chain management.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision and handle project management responsibilities
  • Creative problem solver, ability to think of solutions and execute multiple critical priorities at the same time
  • Flexibility in handling standard responsibilities while solving problems that arise in a dynamic pressurized environment and able to prioritize and manage constantly changing demands.
  • Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, execution of requisition to purchase order transition, management of planning parameters, safety stocks, lead times and order release to invoice payment cycle
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices in lean cells and job shop environment.
  • Understanding of work order release, timing and execution of production orders and the impact of the supply chain on these systems.
  • Skilled in reading engineering drawings and understanding the technical requirements detailed in specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working with teams and being the team leader as needed. Able to work under pressure with difficult people and challenging tasks. Projects a positive attitude and inspires others to improve.
  • Remains abreast of new developments in methods and materials relative to the supply chain and understands the impact and application to TDW business.
  • Works as the interface with engineering, customer service, purchasing, manufacturing engineering and suppliers to manage and facilitate communication and problem solving as well as support the needs of these internal customers.
  • Collaborates with the Engineering, Supplier Development, Distribution, Production, Customer Service, Accounting, and other related departments to ensure product meets all customer demand requirements.
  • Plans demand in accordance with client or Field Service Operations requirements and works to ensure demand is met through the entire order lifecycle.


Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing inventory scheduling and / or inventory purchasing,
  • Ability to understand Constraints, Critical Path Analysis and Risk Mitigation,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication,
  • Intermediate MRP systems skills preferred,
  • MS Excel skills.
