Overview

Assist in the design, implementation, and modification of the shop layout and work holding fixture models.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design software applications.
  • Applies creative problem-solving skills.
  • Enjoys working with operations and engineers to create innovative solutions.
  • 2D layouts and 3D modeling.
  • Estimates durations for project development and meets deadlines.
  • Frequent contact with internal customers.
  • Reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager or Supervisor.


Experience
  • Course work in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1 to 3 years of work experience.
  • Has a working knowledge of SolidWorks and DraftSight.
  • Experience with drawing specifications.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiarity with 2D layouts and 3D modeling.
  • Desire to learn scanning technology.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
