Overview

Performs a variety of administrative functions necessary to support the Organization. Performs duties of a complex and/or confidential nature, requiring exercise of initiative and judgment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as designated employer representative (DER) for US drug and alcohol testing compliance program. This includes: maintaining confidential compliance records, working with clients and vendors to ensure compliance with their drug and alcohol programs, ensure employees are in the correct drug testing pool and are tested as needed (by client request or random), coordinate with HR when positive tests are received and assist with consequences and rehabilitation program.
  • Works with internal departments and vendor to maintain and destroy company documents as appropriate
  • Act as backup for mobiity and work authorizations for employees in US, Canada and Mexico.
  • Assist with reception area and answering phone calls and distributing to appropriate team members.
  • Assist with various employee relations items and benefits (e.g. retirement lunches, employee scholarships, employee celebrations, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


Daily activity is highly variable and dependent on the activities taking place within the department. A successful candidate will show an ability to work well under deadlines, prioritize tasks daily, and communicate regularly both to direct manager as well as to other staff members and customers as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of administrative experience
  • Previous experience with drug and alcohol compliance programs preferred
  • Excellent and proven ability to remain organized and on task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both for dealing with internal and external customers (calm, courteous, professional, and helpful)
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility to handle multi-tasking and prioritize appropriately
