Home Creations is hiring a Superintendent in Moore, OK. This is a full-time position.
Position: Construction Superintendent for Colony Fine Homes by Home Creations Department: Construction FLSA: Full-Time Exempt Location: 2240 N. Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma 73160, various OKC metro locations (indoor and outdoor) Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm General Purpose: To assist the company in scheduling of materials and contractors to construct houses from start to finish. Supervision Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Construction Manager Supervision Exercised: Supervises all Assistant Superintendents and Interns. Make clear expectations to the customers in a professional manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Construction Superintendent: Onsite management of one or more residential construction communities.Comprehend the process of residential construction and use common knowledgeResponsible for the level of quality in productWalk every room of every house, every dayMake clear the expectations of those under supervisionDocument all activities and assist company with reportsAssuring compliance with state laws and safe work practices as well as city inspection requirementsAttend construction meetings and staff meetingsAny other duties assigned by Construction or Field ManagerAbility to deliver houses in the allowed time as set forth by contracts and 100% complete by closing dateMeet with salesperson weekly and contact homeowner weeklyApprove the weekly bills in a timely mannerBe aware of neighborhood appearance and maintenance dailyResponsible for ordering variance and return of extra materialsAny other duties as assignedSafety Sensitive position Minimum Qualifications for Construction Superintendent: High school diploma/GED RequiredBachelors degree in Construction, Architecture, or related field preferred2+ years of work related experience in construction related industry preferredValid driver's licenseReliable transportation Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Complete 10 hours of OSHA Safety TrainingKnowledge of basic building design and construction systemsKnowledge of erosion control guidelinesAbility to read construction documents and specification manualsAbility to interpret and apply state law, local policy and administrative proceduresAbility to Time ManagementAbility to compile and analyze dataAbility to manage personnelStrong organizational and communication skillsWillingness to be a member of a dedicated teamStrong customer service skillsDemonstrate knowledge and proficiency in working with computers and other types of technology Work Environment: Exposure to outdoor work sites; dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, odors, wetness, humidity, and darkness. Physical Demands: Must be able to carry equipment up to 50+ lbs. Some bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, crawling, lifting, carrying, and walking. Subject to driving to various locations in varying weather conditions. Safety sensitive position.
