Description:

If you are looking to grow you career in engineering, then we have an opportunity for you! Based in our Tulsa, OK location, we are hiring for a Design Engineer II. In this role, you will be responsible for all product engineer activities for maintaining and supporting legacy and new product lines. You will drive engineering change by creating new and revised engineering documents, managing product certifications, supporting product modifications, and by providing technical support to Operations, Procurement, and other departments within Pressure Management.

AS A PRODUCT ENGINEER II, YOU WILL:

  • Initiate, review, approve, and maintain primary engineering documents including drawings, specifications, test procedures, operating/maintenance manuals, and bills of material for the company’s product lines
  • Provide complete product engineering functions for product lines to ensure continuity of product from design through manufacturing stages. This includes product development and testing support, material specification creation, and quality assurance assistance
  • Create, review, approve, and implement Engineering Change Requests/Notifications (ECRNs)
  • Oversee design and drafting activities, ensure layouts, drawings, and documentation are prepared in accordance with company procedures and industry standards and regulations
  • Provide technical support to other departments, global teams, and suppliers with respect to application and custom design variations, quality processes, inquiries pertaining to product performance and construction, material specifications and deviations, part tolerance deviations, and manufacturing issues
  • Ensure that the Tulsa Quality System is applied to all functions of job responsibility, and assist in managing, coordinating ongoing changes, and continuously developing the quality system from an Engineering perspective
  • Identify and lead product improvement opportunities with collaboration from within the Engineering team and from communication with cross functional groups (Marketing, Quality, Procurement, Operations, etc.) to meet deliverables, e.g., safety, quality, product performance, cost requirements, schedule, etc.
  • Work with cross functional groups to implement designs into global production and ensure thorough implementation by updating Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, marketing communications, engineering/manufacturing procedures, inventory transition, 3rd party approvals, etc.
  • Record and document all necessary engineering calculations completed to verify product improvement project designs

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering experience required
  • GD& T and drafting knowledge and functional experience (i.e. ASME Y14.5)
  • Familiarity on using, interpreting, and searching for relevant standards
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiar with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes
  • Familiar with standardized equipment and parts (i.e. API/ASME flanges, fittings, and piping components)
  • Experience in gas regulator or valve design
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Oracle, NX, ad configuration management (i.e. variant configuration)
  • Familiar with manufacturing methods, including metal castings, plate fabrication and welding, metal cutting and machining operations, and methodologies and practices
