Position Summary


The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing the Benefits Department for Dental Depot. This includes, but is not limited to managing, developing, maintaining, and updating employee benefits in various systems and vendors. This position will also manage and administer leave of absence and FMLA for Dental Depot. This position will also manage and maintain Dental Depot’s health and welfare benefits in conjunction with the People & Culture executive.


Essential Functions

  • Consistently maintain under 30% error rate with monthly benefit invoices.
  • Consistently maintain under 30% error rate with biweekly and monthly 401(k) remittance
  • Responsible for developing employee benefit procedures and overseeing the maintenance of employee benefit records through HRIS system.
  • Manage benefit enrollments and changes with minimal errors.
  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from management and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
  • Manages the development and execution of benefit strategies for new or changing benefits plans, processes and vendors.
  • Organize and present benefit enrollment meetings during orientation and annual open enrollment.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and resolution with vendor to work toward a frustration free employee experience.
  • Manages, develops, and executes the Benefit Department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • FMLA administration; Initiate, maintain records, and process payments.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
  • Ensure complete and accurate benefit data and records
  • Continually look for process improvements in procedures, systems policies, and make recommendations for enhancement
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Manages the Benefit Module of Dental Depot’s HRIS and compiles reports from database for People & Culture executive.
  • This position may complete other Administrative and Maintenance tasks as assigned by Management.

Position Qualifications







Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Human Resources or related field









Experience:

3 plus years of experience in benefits administration. Experience in U.S. benefits programs and benefits administration management, U.S. benefits compliance and regulations including but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.




Certifications & Licenses:

PHR/SPHR/CEBS Certification Preferred.




Computer Skills:

Must have excellent skills with all Microsoft Office Products and the internet. Experience with Dayforce a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, body fluids, blood borne pathogens, and the risk of radiation. The noise level is usually moderate. As the dental practice is heavily dependent on scheduling, the general environment can become hectic at times. Therefore, the employee must be able to handle effectively the normal anxieties associated with the job.
