Position Summary

As the Assistant Manager of Patient Account Services, your role involves overseeing the team of Patient Account Service Representatives, ensuring the smooth operation of the PASR department, and aligning our efforts with Dental Depot's business objectives. Your responsibilities include the vital task of training and developing your team members, as well as using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to address patient billing inquiries and complaints, managing outstanding claims, electronic fund transfers, Medicaid, and other matters as assigned by the Manager or Director of Revenue Cycle.

  • Oversees the Patient Account Service Representatives team.

  • Conducts office supply ordering for PASR Team.

  • Provides financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate patient billing and follow-up in accordance with Dental Depot accounts receivable protocol.

  • Provides quality customer service, utilizing conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to manage patient inquiries and complaints.

  • Prepares and monitors weekly reports on outstanding claims, claim submissions, insurance collections, and closed claim review.

  • Communicates effectively, courteously, and professionally with clinical and administrative staff. Communicates effectively, courteously, and accurately with patients inquiring about statements, billing, payments, etc.

  • Audits patient accounts for billing errors or inconsistencies.

  • Handles statement calls.

  • Works to resolve claim issues by appealing denied claims, and sending corrected claims as needed.

  • Complies with: Dental Depot policies and procedures; OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and HIPAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • This position may complete other Administrative and Maintenance tasks as assigned by Management.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
