Job Description
Young Mens Christian Association of Central Ohio is hiring a Child Care Licensing and Step Up to Quality Coordinator in Columbus, OH. This is a full-time position.
Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions.Serves as a lead/resource/point of contact for association early education and afterschool quality initiative Step Up To Quality (SUTQ)Assists with the ongoing development and implementation of SUTQ programming.Responsible for data, outcomes and collection of all required paperwork related to SUTQ programs.Assists with the SUTQ renewal process each year.Develops and maintains positive, supportive relationships with YMCA staff for the purpose of supporting staff growth.Acts as a temporary staff member/support when necessary to maintain ODJFS, ACA, SUTQ and other program requirements.Perform assessments and internal audits to ensure policy/regulation adherence. (YMCA, ODJFS, SUTQ)Assures all program standards and requirements are met and safety protocols are followed within licensed and summer programs including; YMCA, ODJFS licensing, ACA (camp) and SUTQ standards.Focuses on results and desired outcomes by analyzing inspection data in programs to help inform the program decision making process.Ensures child and program assessments are conducted and submitted in a timely and accurate manner.Assists with and monitors the record keeping systems for programs as required by all regulations and agency policies.Maintains positive, professional relationships and cooperates with children, parents, partners, school/host staff, administrators, communities and YMCA staff.Adheres to policies related to boundaries with youth. Participates in required abuse risk management training. Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements. Adheres to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community.
