Summary

Worthington Enterprises is seeking a student intern for the Transportation group. This role offers the opportunity to work with various modes and equipment types, including van, hazardous, flatbed, international, and LTL shipments. The intern will engage in data and financial analysis, lane quoting, and customer service activities. The position provides a flexible environment to gain a wide range of logistical experience and develop career interest.

Candidates must be willing to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Work with different modes and equipment types, including van, hazardous, flatbed, international, and LTL shipments.
• Engage in data analysis and financial analysis using optimization software and Excel.
• Assist in lane quoting and understanding financial impacts.
• Interact with carriers to meet shipping requirements and maintain relationships.
• Participate in customer service activities by coordinating shipments and addressing carrier inquiries.
• Learn and apply logistical strategies to improve transportation efficiency.
