Description:

Worthington Enterprises is looking for a Supply Chain Intern. This intern will dive deep into the world of supply chain planning and take part in multiple supply-related process improvement projects. The Supply Chain Intern will be heavily involved with the Sales and Operations Planning (S& OP) process to drive continuous improvement in key metrics such as on-time delivery, aged inventory, and warehouse capacity.

Must have the ability to work a part-time schedule spring semester and full-time schedule during summer break at our corporate office in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Creates a long-term production plan that balances customer service, inventory levels, staffing, and working capital
  • Assists in building and delivering presentations that follow the S& OP process of communicating key aspects of the supply plan to the business leadership teams
  • Builds relationships and work alongside cross-functional groups such as operations, sales, procurement, quality, finance, and others
  • Reviews finished good and raw material MRP settings and implements changes based on statistical analysis of consumption and stakeholder recommendation
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to automate routine tasks and utilizes systems, such as Tableau and Kinaxis, to enhance the team's supply planning capabilities
  • Provides timely completion of deliverables, milestones, and required tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on time and with little supervision
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or related experience in supply chain management or a related degree
