Description:
At Worthington Enterprises, our Internal Audit team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity and effectiveness of our financial and operational processes. We're looking for a proactive and analytical Internal Auditor to perform audits, evaluate internal controls, and recommend actionable improvements. This role offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Travel for this position will be roughly 5-10% with the potential for some to be international. This position is located at our Columbus, OH headquarters, expecting 4 days/week on-site.What You'll Do: - Conduct Sarbanes-Oxley, financial, and operational audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Analyze documentation and audit evidence to assess internal controls, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead and participate in business process walkthroughs, enhancing process flow documentation and pinpointing control opportunities.
- Prepare insightful reports, client communications, and internal memos clearly outlining audit findings and recommendations.
- Contribute to departmental efficiency by suggesting improvements in auditing operations, policies, and procedures.
- Stay informed about industry trends and company events to proactively address potential audit implications.
- Collaborate closely with team members, fostering a positive and cooperative working atmosphere.
- Actively engage in professional training, skill development, and networking to remain at the forefront of best practices.
What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- 1+ year of audit or relevant accounting experience (preferred).
- CPA, CIA certification, or progress towards certification (preferred).
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven integrity and strong ethical standards.
- A proactive mindset with solid project management capabilities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Team-oriented professional dedicated to providing exceptional internal customer service.
- Deep understanding of accounting concepts and auditing methodologies.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
