Description:

To assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements by recording financial transactions in the general ledger system, reconciling and analyzing balance sheet accounts, and resolving outstanding items on a timely basis.Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. | None Required. | Minimum Required: Scheduled to certify, license or graduate within 12 months and 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience. ? Preferred: Scheduled to certify, license or graduate within 12 months - CPA.Reconciliation and analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy of account balance.

Assigned reconciliations include those designated as high to moderately complex and risk. Demonstrated thorough knowledge of balance sheet transactions and contents.

Prepare journal entries during month end close processing to record activity.

Primarily assigned JE's and RJ's designated more analytical in nature and often non-recurring in nature.

Resolution of outstanding items on balance sheet reconciliations within 60 days.

Demonstrated knowledge of process and cause of outstanding items and able to address the resolution clearly with associates within and outside the department.

Continually review processes and procedures and identify improvements. Develop plan and implement process improvements by working within and outside department.

Complete projects and special assignments as directed.

Exhibit an advanced understanding of current accounting principles and standards, and assist in researching the accounting for non-recurring transactions.

Assists in training of new and existing staff.

Exhibit knowledge and understanding of corporate capital expenditure and capitalization policy and accurately add/dispose fixed assets in the Lawson system.
