Radiation Therapist, Full-Time, First Shift, UCMC- Barret Cancer Center As a Radiation Therapist, you will provide excellent patient care, delivering radiation treatments according to physician prescriptions and ensuring a seamless, compassionate experience for our radiation oncology patients.

Education and Experience Requirements: - Associates degree required (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must be licensed by the State of Ohio in Radiation Therapy
- New grads are acceptable

- Administers radiation treatments and simulations per physician prescriptions, ensuring accurate setup and documentation.
- Communicates care plans across clinical teams and educates patients and families on treatment goals and procedures.
- Maintains treatment schedules, performs charge captures, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Operates radiation therapy equipment, performs body contouring, and fabricates treatment devices.
- Assesses referrals and medical histories to determine patient needs in acute and inpatient rehab settings.
- Delivers patient-centered care, recognizing physical, psychological, and cultural needs.
- Identifies and responds to behavioral health concerns, abuse, or neglect.
- Supports a teaching environment through student engagement and continuous learning.
