The Administrative Services Manager provides high level support to the Department Chair as well as manage the operation of the administrative assistant services within the department.Minimum required: High School Diploma/GED| Bachelor's Degree preferred
Three years of experience preferred.Perform responsible administrative staff functions for the Department Chair, frequently of a confidential nature, concerning administrative activities of substantial complexity.
Supervise activities and responsibilities of employees, including: - Interviewing prospective employees.
- Ensuring compliance with training and safety standards.
- Scheduling and assigning work.
- Establishing performance measures, goals, objectives and priorities.
- Evaluating work performance, including providing feedback, direction and guidance.
- Keeping personnel informed of new or revised information.
- Preparing, reviewing and/or proofreading documents to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance.
- Recommending the development of operating policies and procedures.
- Identifying and reviewing problem areas such as staffing levels, operating procedures, etc.
- Maintaining liaison with designated unit directors and administrators, as well as external offices and agencies to investigate and resolve problems.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
