The Wave at Marblehead is hiring a Seasonal -Overnight Auditor (Front Desk) in Lakeside Marblehead, OH. This is a full-time position.

Welcome to The Wave at Marblehead—formerly the historic Lighthouse Hotel, now completely transformed into a modern boutique retreat on the scenic shores of Lake Erie. We bring a sense of relaxed luxury and coastal charm to this lakeside paradise.

We offer our guests a contemporary escape complete with a refreshing outdoor pool, backyard lawn games, a dedicated fitness studio, pickleball courts, and seasonal lakeside dining at The Wave Lakeside Restaurant. As a team, we take pride in offering warm, elevated hospitality that helps our guests make moments that matter.

We are looking for a trustworthy, welcoming, and detail-oriented Night Auditor to hold down the fort overnight. As the primary point of contact during the quiet hours, you'll ensure our guests sleep soundly and our daily finances balance perfectly. This is a seasonal role to help us during the summer season.

Compensation- $25/hour
Key Responsibilities1. Guest Relations & Front Desk Operations
  • Serve as the sole face of the hotel during overnight hours, providing warm, professional, and attentive service.
  • Manage late-night check-ins and early-morning check-outs with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Resolve guest inquiries, requests, or maintenance emergencies swiftly and calmly.
  • Provide local recommendations (when asked by early risers) for nearby attractions like the historic Marblehead Lighthouse, Kelleys Island Ferry, and local trails.
2. Financial Auditing & Administration
  • Close out the previous business day in our Property Management System (PMS).
  • Balance, audit, and reconcile daily room revenue, taxes, and cash/credit card transactions.
  • Run, distribute, and archive essential daily financial reports for management.
  • Identify and correct any posting errors or discrepancies in guest accounts.
3. Safety, Security & Property Walkthroughs
  • Conduct regular security rounds of the indoor property, pool area, and main building to ensure a safe, secure, and quiet environment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean lobby and front desk workspace.
  • Enforce hotel quiet hours and security policies to guarantee a peaceful night's rest for all guests.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Previous hotel front desk, night audit, guest services, or bookkeeping/accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • Math & Tech Skills: Solid basic math skills with high attention to detail. Comfort learning and navigating hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Independence: Extremely reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently without direct supervision overnight.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking skills and a calm demeanor when handling unexpected situations or emergencies.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work consistent overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
