Team Recovery Ohio, LLC. is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician II- Inpatient in Toledo, OH. This is a full-time position.
Job Summary: The Inpatient Behavioral Health Technician II is responsible for working closely with individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues. The primary focus includes providing direct care, support and guidance to clients, assisting them in their recovery journey, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the treatment process, and assisting with operational duties. Core Responsibilities: Provide direct care to clients as they navigate treatment activities, including but not limited to support of medical and clinical services, facilitation of nutrition programs, and providing excellent customer service.Provide direct support as clients navigate group therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, and other treatment activities.Monitor and support clients through their daily activities.Provide verbal de-escalation and assist in connecting clients to crisis intervention when necessary to ensure the safety of clients and staff.Co-facilitate psychoeducational support on topics related to mental health, addiction recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including clinical and medical, to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.Assist in ensuring building cleanliness, inventory stock, and safety.Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.Other duties as assigned. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required.Associate's Degree Preferred. License Requirements: CDCA Pre or CDCA License in Ohio required.CPR certification required, will train upon hire.Must have a valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, be 21 years or older, and be deemed insurable through Team Recovery's insurance carrier. Experience Requirements: 2 or more years of experience in behavioral health or related field.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.Knowledge of evidence-based practices in behavioral health, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, with strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical practice and program development.Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in addiction recovery services.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Calendar, Outlook, and Teams).Working knowledge of Google Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Gmail, Chat, Spaces, Keep, Tasks, Calendar, and Meet).Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.Knowledge of addictions and mental health complications.Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity.Knowledge of referral procedures and admittance criteria for health care and community providers.Ability to network and collaborate with healthcare and other social and cultural agencies that can provide services to the patients and families.Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.Knowledge and competency in Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder diagnoses and related symptoms.Knowledge and competency in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and calming techniques.Knowledge and competency in risk factors for suicide and/or homicide.Knowledge and competency in risk assessment and safety planning.Knowledge of alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and family.Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage.Knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal laws that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including: ConfidentialityPatient RightsProfessional code of ethicsDiscrimination Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the use of universal precautions.
