What will you do?

Schneider Electric, Oxford OH is seeking skilled and motivated Application Engineer(s) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between engineering, production, and customer requirements-ensuring that manufacturing processes are optimized, equipment is properly integrated, and product quality meets or exceeds expectations. You will play a key role in implementing new designs, problem-solving on current designs, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support manufacturing applications.
  • Assist in the design and deployment of custom applications or modifications to existing systems to meet both the customer and the plant's needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the installation of our systems.
  • Advise production, Project Managers, and Contractors on application design.
  • Support data collection and analysis for process monitoring and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment

This job might be for you if you have the following skills:

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (internships or co-ops considered).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
  • Proficiency in CAD software, PLC programming, and/or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus..
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing devices in a plant setting.
