Job Description
RON MARHOFER AUTOMALL GROUP is hiring a LUBE TECHNICIAN - GMC in Canton, OH. This is a full-time position, and paying $16.00–$20.00/year.
Job Purpose:
- The Lube Technician performs routine maintenance and light repairs with speed and accuracy, delivering quality service that supports Ron Marhofer Auto Family's customer experience while building automotive skills under senior technician mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, battery checks, and multi-point inspections.
- Assist senior technicians with light repairs.
- Document findings for service advisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized shop at our Northeast Ohio dealership.
Education Requirements

Skills
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Preferred Education:
- Enrollment in or completion of a vocational or automotive technology training program preferred.
Required Experience:
- No prior automotive experience required; open to entry-level candidates eager to launch a career as a lube/express technician.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a quick-lube, express service, or automotive dealership setting preferred, including oil changes, inspections, or basic maintenance work.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Valid driver's license meeting dealership insurability standards.
- Ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly.
- Proficient in using hand tools and lifts safely.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs for 8-hour shifts.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- ASE Certification a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service mindset.
- Effective teamwork and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn manufacturer procedures and service bulletins.
