Our Collision Center is dedicated to delivering superior craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The Collision Technician plays a critical role in restoring vehicles to pre-accident conditions by performing safe, accurate, and efficient structural and cosmetic repairs.

Position Summary

The Collision Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring damaged vehicles to manufacturer's standards. This role requires strong technical skills, precision, and diligence. The Collision Technician collaborates closely with estimators, painters, and parts staff to ensure timely and high­ quality repairs that exceed customer expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership standards.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for repair and refinishing processes.
  • Diagnose repair needs using measuring systems and frame equipment.
  • Repair or replace body panels, frames, and other vehicle components.
  • Collaborate with estimators to review damage reports and repair plans.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer safety and quality specifications.
  • Document all work performed and update repair orders accurately.
  • Road test vehicles to verify quality and safety of repairs (as required).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow dealership, OSHA, and EPA guidelines for safety, waste disposal, and hazardous materials handling.

Marginal Duties

  • Stay current with I-CAR, ASE, and manufacturer repair standards and bulletins.
  • Participate in dealership and manufacturer training programs.
  • Assist with mentoring apprentices or junior collision staff as needed.
  • Support shop organization and workflow efficiency.

Desired Skills:

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations

  • Valid driver's license meeting dealership insurability requirements.
  • I-CAR and ASE certifications (preferred, with willingness to obtain if not held).
  • Welding certification (preferred).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
  • Lift up to fifty pounds without restrictions.
  • Perform tasks requiring kneeling, reaching, and manual dexterity.
  • Tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, paint, and chemicals with proper PPE.
