Our Ron Marhofer Collision Center is a high-volume, professional repair facility dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Position Summary

The Automotive Detailer – Collision Center is responsible for thoroughly cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles following collision repairs to ensure they are returned to customers in showroom-ready condition.

This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and pride in workmanship. The ideal candidate enjoys working around vehicles, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a team environment focused on quality and customer satisfaction.

This position is ideal for candidates interested in automotive detailing, auto body shop operations, collision repair environments, vehicle reconditioning, or entry-level automotive careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and detail vehicles following collision repairs to meet dealership quality standards
• Wash vehicle exteriors, including hand washing, drying, and polishing surfaces
• Vacuum and clean interiors, including carpets, upholstery, dashboards, and consoles
• Remove dust, sanding residue, and shop contaminants from repaired vehicles
• Clean windows, mirrors, trim, and door jambs
• Apply protective treatments such as wax, tire shine, and interior protectants
• Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet delivery-ready presentation standards
• Identify and report any cosmetic concerns to the collision team before vehicle delivery
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of detailing equipment and the work area
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and environmental standards
• Support collision center technicians and staff with vehicle movement when needed
• Assist with final vehicle delivery preparation for customers

Qualifications

• Previous automotive detailing experience preferred but not required
• Experience working in an auto body shop, dealership, or car wash environment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Ability to follow processes and quality standards
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely operate detailing tools and equipment
