Position Summary:

Welders need to be able to follow instruction and produce consistent, reliable, leak-tight quality welds. The Welder will set up components for welding according to specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform manual welding operations using SMAW / GMAW
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.

• Accurately enters appropriate data into Epicor ERP system (part quantities, job numbers...)
• Responsible for documenting time to appropriate manufacturing orders by clocking in and clocking out of jobs daily

• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

• Train new production employees as needed.
• Report machine maintenance issues to team lead or supervisor
• Performs company activities in addition to the above as assigned by Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader

Position Qualifications:

• 1 years of welding experience
• HS Diploma/ GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
