What are we looking for?The
Environmental Staff Scientist is responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services; with primary focus on: Asbestos surveys and Indoor air-quality assessments. This position will also include some involvement with Phase I and Phase II ESAs and other service lines. This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports and proposals. This position can expect to travel up to 25% of the time, as business needs dictate.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8: 00AM-5: 00PM (may vary at times)
What you'll do: - Support the department on environmental services including asbestos surveys, Indoor air-quality assessments; with potential for involvement with Phase I/II ESA, lead-based paint surveys, and wetland surveys
- Assist in the development of work scope and report writing
- Provide support planning, monitoring, and controlling project budgets and building solid relationships with clients and team members

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: - BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organization, as well as time and budget management skills
- Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one's discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (mostly local city-region)
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications: - 1+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience is preferred
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training
- Asbestos Certification and/or experience
