Job Description
ORBIS Corporation is hiring a Team Lead - 2nd Shift in Mentor, OH. This is a full-time position, and paying $22.00–$31.00/hour.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
2. Lead teams of 15-20 associates or 4-5 assembly cells including coaching on safety, quality, productivity and company policies.
3. Support supervisors and cell leads to help direct / balance work in the assembly cells.
4. Answer Andon lights and resolve any assembly cell issues.
5. Work with Plant Production with regards to inspection approvals, including internal 1st piece and customer first article approvals.
6. Monitor cell throughput, perform waste walks as needed.
7. Monitor cell breakdown and 5S cleanup.
8. Complete in-process audits of production work cells, including part and production process audits.
9. Responds to problems occurring during production assembly process.
10. Support setup team as needed.
11. Assist in identifying the need for assembly fixtures and evaluate error proofing in production work cells.
12. Gather information on Product Hold Tickets and Complaints issues.
13. Drive the execution and continuous improvement of the quality policy and procedures (reduced scrap/waste, customer returns, etc).
14. Provide feedback to Production Management team on issues affecting production and / or completion of an order.
15. Initiate, recommend and / or provide solutions to address issues via the appropriate channels.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Required
• 1+ year's demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes
Internal ORBIS Employee:
• Operator 2 Level, production full cycle operator or positions or higher
• Less than 3 attendance points
• No disciplinary actions above Verbal Warning
• Remain in position for 180 days
Desired
• 2-5 year's demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes
