Description:

Norwood Towers Post-Acute Care Facility is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team. This vital role ensures that our nursing staff are appropriately scheduled to maintain smooth operations and compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative functions to ensure efficient operations, including completing and posting work sheets and time schedules.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure there are no vacant positions on the schedule.
  • Assist in the completion and filing of designated reports in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Update the business office with current phone numbers for all department managers.
  • Report employee absenteeism or tardiness to the Director of Nursing Services in accordance with facility policy.
  • Assist employees in accurately completing forms (e.g., leave requests, time cards) related to scheduling and staffing.
  • Complete and coordinate the monthly nursing schedule to ensure appropriate unit coverage.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of resident care information, adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism during stressful situations and take appropriate action as needed.


Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff at all levels.
    • Proficient in using nursing home scheduling software (preferred).
    • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
