Flooring Installation Service Technician National Design Mart | Medina, OH | $18 - $25 Hourly Rate depending on experience Benefits 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Employee discounts A Flooring Service Technician at National Design Mart is responsible for completing flooring repairs, service calls, inspections, and evaluations at customer and job site locations. This position requires 3-5 years of flooring industry experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to complete high-quality repairs efficiently and professionally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete assigned flooring service calls and repairs efficiently and according to company quality standards. Inspect flooring issues, identify necessary repairs, and determine the appropriate materials and tools needed to complete each service. Communicate repair requirements with flooring installers and coordinate service details as needed. Prepare for scheduled service calls by ensuring all required tools, equipment, and materials are available in advance. Complete accurate job documentation, including detailed notes and photos, using CompanyCam. Complete customer/job-site sign-off documentation following successful repairs. Accurately record working hours for service calls, inspections, and evaluations in RFMS flooring software. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company-provided vehicle. Provide professional and courteous service while working in customers' homes and on construction job sites. Requirements 3-5 years of flooring industry experience required. Previous experience with flooring installation, service, repair, or troubleshooting required. Ability to identify flooring problems and complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with installers and other team members. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document completed work. Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and/or drive for extended periods, including up to four hours at a time. Ability to safely navigate residential, commercial, and construction job sites. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform other movements necessary to complete flooring repairs and inspections. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.
