Description:


The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of U.S. manufacturing plant and distribution center inventories, including fixed assets. This role is ideal for a detail oriented, analytical professional who enjoys working with inventory data and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily review of finished goods inventory transactions
  • Monthly/quarterly batch materials physical inventory
  • Coordinate the annual physical inventory of plant fixed assets and provide corporate accounting with all necessary inventory reporting
  • Report all fixed asset transactions to include transfers and dispositions; apply property tag identifications to newly acquired assets
  • Maintain records retention inventory and dispose of records as appropriate
  • Responsible for identifying the root cause of all inventory adjustments
  • Maintain inventory balances plus journal activity for refractory and precious metal inventories
  • Monthly closing responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Standard costing of new items and subcontractor work orders
  • Monthly calculation of cycle count accuracy
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements as required.
  • Assist in completing our annual audit with a focus on cycle counts and inventory related tests
  • Other job duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business or supply chain preferred; or equivalent experience
  • One to three years’ experience in accounting, supply chain or a related field
  • Strong foundation with Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel); ability to learn/manipulate systems quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Preferred knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP experience
  • Perform well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and able to prioritize tasks
  • Travel on occasion, less than 10% annually
