Responsible for architecting, designing and setting the standards for reporting and budgeting analytical systems in Oracle Essbase. Serve as the primary Essbase code designer for reporting systems' databases and process flows. Lead a team of Essbase developers. - Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of Essbase and Dodeca technology, architecture and performance tuning experience or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a public company, accounting center or public accounting firm or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in project management, financial reporting, and/or reporting technologies or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of Essbase experience or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of management experience
- Strong decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills; ability to maintain performance under pressure
- Strong written/oral communication skills

Desired
- Any experience as Essbase developer with knowledge of calc scripts, load rules, and dimension builds
- Any hands on experience in MDX and MAXL
- Any experience with Oracle product suite
- Any retail and manufacturing experience
- Any experience in leading technology enabled and business driven reporting strategies
- Any accounting or audit experience
- Broad knowledge of visualization, reporting, and data management technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and/or Business Objects
- Strong understanding of relational or OLAP databases
- Deep understanding of ASO/BSO concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders- Lead the requirements identification architecture, data sourcing and data consumption method for Essbase and financial reporting stakeholders throughout the enterprise
- Lead governance and change meetings on business outcomes relating to Essbase cube and data development
- Identify enhancement opportunities and additional business requirements
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritize and implement enhancements
- Lead testing and implementation of solution, including identification of change management/training requirements, and provide training to users
- Advise stakeholders on dynamic ad-hoc requests for data to make timely business decisions
- Develop mastery skills over time on where/how to extract the right data at the right time (i.e., Oracle FRS/ SmartView/ Dodeca/ PowerBI/ Azure focus, etc.)
- Serve as a business project management lead for related development and testing activities working with related Essbase and Dodeca developers
- Coordinate cross-department (e.g., KTD) initiatives and facilitates the definition of clear responsibilities and business outcomes
- Support and/or lead project work (e.g., modernization, business restructuring and acquisitions)
- Design of database structures and process flows
- Develop programming specifications for architecting and designing reporting within our financial reporting systems using best practices and application service functions
- Apply data analysis, data modeling, and quality assurance techniques to ensure data integrity in the cubes and reporting
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
