Description:

Support the Sr. Manager of Capital Management & Finance Talent Development. Assist in the coordination of the review process for capital projects that support the company's annual capital expenditure plans. Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of the Kroger Financial Development Program. Provide financial support to company leaders regarding capital intensive initiatives. Develop, summarize, and communicate financial insights to senior management. Coach, mentor, and develop talent within Kroger Finance through the establishment of a cross functional finance support function. - Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years prior accounting/finance/statistics experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Quick Sales, Business Objects, and Essbase
- Ability to lead and motivate individuals from a wide variety of functional backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
- Ability to write routine reports/correspondence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired
- Other Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or Real Estate
- Any retail industry experience
- Any experience with internal Kroger systems; KCMS-DW, ELMS, etc.
- 2+ years of managing direct reports with demonstrated experience coaching and developing financial talent
- 5+ years in prior accounting/finance/statistics experience
- MBA or CPA- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Assist in the coordination and review of Real Estate, Kroger Technology, Merchandising, Manufacturing and Operations capital investments
- Assist in the financial support function for Strategic Initiatives, including Kroger Way Plans
- Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of the Kroger Financial Development Program
- Assist divisions in completing lease versus purchase analyses, store investments and any other financial guidance
- Develop a solid foundation in cash flow theory; perform discounted cash flow analysis, present value calculations and financial review
- Provide leadership in the preparation of capital expenditure and financial presentations for all divisions in the enterprise
- Comprehend and execute special requests from senior management with short lead times and little supervision
- Present findings and make recommendations to senior management with clarity and confidence
- Coach and develop department team members and the broader financial organization
- Travel to divisions for real estate and financial strategy meetings, training and development
