Description:

Support commodity manager(s) in achieving category strategic and financial objectives. Own commodity management responsibilities for part of merchandise category. Support coordination of the procurement of commodity items. Maintain specific category and consumer expertise. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Minimum
- 2+ years of experience in one of the following areas: replenishment buying/procurement, merchandising, store leadership, operations, or brand management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired
- Bachelor's Degree
- Any experience in promo planning
- Any experience in vendor negotiations
- Any experience in division retail Meat Merchandising or store leadership- Support buying of core commodity items for the entire enterprise
- Assist with assortment strategy and new item introductions
- Assist with suppliers, trade groups and other relationships/communications
- Assist in communication of cost to Replenishment teams
- Assist in developing sales dollar, unit volume and profit goals understanding pertinent government regulations and other industry-related issues (e.g., sustainability)
- Support creation of reviews of category performance vs. goals and other pertinent category information (e.g., consumer trends), including market share and customer metrics
- Support special projects and travel independently as needed
