Shop Technician - Water and Wastewater Systems (Industrial/Commercial)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a n entry level Shop Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will assist senior technicians with preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Candidate should have a basic foundational knowledge of mechanical systems and a strong willingness to learn and grow under supervision . This candidate will also operate commercial motor vehicles to perform service deliveries. T his role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of systems that are vital to our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with diagnosing and repair of water and wastewater systems at industrial and commercial client sites systems under the guidance of senior technicians.

- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks under supervision .

- Perform pre-trip, en -route, and post-trip inspections; report defects and learn to coordinate with maintenance for repairs.

- Safely operate CMVs ( DOT physical required) for local or regional deliveries; assist with loading/unloading as needed.

- E nsure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and protected from damage; verify shipment accuracy.

- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (tires, fluid levels, lights) and report maintenance needs.

- Provide professional customer service and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.

- Document work performed, parts used, and any relevant information for client records.

Additional Requirements:
- Basic k nowledge and experience with electrical panels, pumps, and motors.
- Basic plumbing skills for system installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to working with electrical and mechanical equipment.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or relevant experience preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of driving experience with strong interest in developing driving and mechanical skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
