Job Description

As a User Experience Design Lead in Corporate Technology, you will be responsible for large and impactful initiatives withinMarket Risk, utilizing a facilitative leadership style with senior design, research, product, and engineering leaders. Though without formal direct reports, you must be comfortable and capable of mentoring design teams across the full range of design practices, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. You don't need to be an expert at every step, but through your leadership and review, the teams execute at a high-level of quality. You are expected to be a strong partner with senior Product Management and Engineering Leads, developing product and business strategy, which informs prioritization, planning, and decisions across multiple product teams.

Job Responsibilities

You will lead a small design team and establish and maintain the standards for design excellence.

You will ensure decisions are user-centric and data driven. Working to foster continued collaboration with Product managers, Engineers, and Research teams to drive business impact.

You will enable a framework and mechanism for early ideation and experimentation for evolving solutions

You will create compelling visualizations based on large sets of data and complex user journeys.

You will create cohesive and accessible deliverables such as strategy decks, customer journeys, app flows, wireframes, UI designs, and interactive prototypes to unify teams on a product vision

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Strong desire to solve complex problems in an Agile environment

Experience leading design work through concept to delivery

Expertise in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual/UI Design and Data Visualization

Strong facilitation skills and experience employing a variety of methods and techniques to run design-led workshops

Experience with Product Tools, such as Figma, Lucid, Survey Monkey, and Jira.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Expertise in Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or React is a plus
