CDAO will also ensure best practices are shared across our businesses while overseeing data use, governance and controls.
As a Control Manager Vice President within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), you will be instrumental in promoting our strategy and assisting in the firmwide adoption of AI. You will be responsible for control management support related to Firmwide Data Governance risks, such as Data Retention and Destruction, and assist with CORE Program Governance. This role provides an opportunity to engage with business partners, manage key projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data quality, governance, and reporting practices.
Job responsibilities:
- Understand relevant FW Data Risk Management Standards and Procedures and support data governance controls and practices related to select data Risk types (Ex. Data Retention/Destruction)
- Support setup and management of relevant FW Common Processes and associated risks and controls in CORE
- Engage business partners and enable completion of activities and deliverables related to aligned data risks and FW Common Processes
- Assist controls team in maintaining adherence to key standards (e.g. CORE, Control Committee, Risk ID, Risk Acceptance, Legal entity)
- Assist in completion of relevant CORE deliverables and/or assessments such as Operational Risk Summaries, Process Owner Reviews, and Quarterly MRI reviews
- Periodically review business procedures; ensure annual process reviews and attestations (e.g. Business resiliency plan, Estimations/ User-Tool Inventory)
- Monitor metrics to facilitate management actions for breached metrics
- Participate in regular CDAO Issue Review Forums with cross functional stakeholders to ensure consistent issue management practices.
- Support planning and employee engagement activities for CDAO Controls
- Partner with CDAO Control Managers as well as Firmwide Controls team to ensure ongoing and effective CORE data quality, governance, reporting and drive continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of financial services experience in control management, audit, quality assurance, risk management, program management or compliance
- Sound judgement in assessing risk, prioritizing work, engaging business partners
- Manage key projects and initiatives from inception to completion, confirming alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in the development of detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between business units, control functions, and management.
- Experience working across organizational boundaries to analyze, design, and deliver best practices
- Solid understanding of the 3 lines of defense in banking institutions, Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk Frameworks; knowledge of JPMC platforms like ELA and CORE

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CPA, or CIA are a plus.
