The MedTech Surgery organization was established to combine Ethicon’s market-leading surgical portfolio with the Robotics & Digital Solutions portfolio. The MedTech Surgical organization is comprised of: Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery, Endo Mechanical and Energy, OTTAVA (Surgical Robotics), MONARCH (Flexible Robotics), and MedTech Digital.

The Senior Manager, Advanced Stapling reports to the Director, Advanced Stapling for Global Strategic Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the global evidence strategy, in collaboration with key internal partners from medical, clinical, preclinical, research & development, and health economics and market access
  • Lead prioritization of evidence generation activities, aligned with marketing partners from around the world and other key internal partners
  • Lead portfolio short-term and long-term forecasting, in collaboration with country marketing, demand planning, finance and supply chain partners
  • Engage with customers and key opinion leaders to develop insights on the value of our advanced stapling portfolio and available supporting evidence that lead to new opportunities to differentiate our portfolio
  • Lead development of new surgical specialty evidence that demonstrates the unique value of our advanced stapling products within those surgical specialties
  • Lead portfolio management activities that improve the customer experience, support our marketing and sales teams, and improve key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with key marketing and education partners to elevate our brand, product and procedure knowledge

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required (advanced degree in a related field preferred)
  • 8 years of progressive business experience in roles that demonstrate increasing responsibility and expertise in relevant areas such as product or disease state marketing, strategy, sales, professional or commercial education, and execution roles
  • Strong marketing experience of developing strategic recommendations with the ability to interpret complex data, identify commonalities and differences among regional insights, and synthesize insights into actionable strategies
  • Strong business analytics and forecasting, customer insights development, and understanding of core marketing levers
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise with a demonstrated ability to achieve business results by influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Ability to operate in a global organization with multidisciplinary collaborators and deliver results
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be customer/market oriented
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to deliver consistently strong results
  • Up 25% travel (international and domestic)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interpreting clinical and statistical data to generate insights and develop strategies and tactics
  • Experience collaborating with international colleagues to generate aligned strategies and tactics
  • Knowledge of advanced surgical stapling products and the clinical procedures they are used in
  • Knowledge of global medical technology markets
