We are searching for the best talent for a Assoc. Director, Nonclinical Engineering located in Cincinnati, OH.
Purpose: The Associate Director of Non-clinical Engineering position facilitates the business needs for translation of R& D product development towards clinical implementation via innovative non-clinical test method design and implementation. The incumbent will have the responsibility for the generation and dissemination of objective non-clinical evidence to shape product development, and gain regulatory approval, globally. As part of the Preclinical Research team, this role is responsible for the design, development, execution, and interpretation of programs and studies to evaluate the safety and performance of medical devices. This role strives to replace, reduce, and refine traditional animal models with novel non-animal models, or enhanced methods, based on bioengineering principles.
The Associate Director of Engineering understands business strategy, customer needs, project priorities, and future direction. They use this information to plan and prioritize work/resources, establish and maintain cross-functional relationships within J& J, and with external experts. The Associate Director of Engineering applies deep technical expertise in engineering disciplines and biologic / physiologic systems to develops existing and new test methods for a broad portfolio of J& J medical devices. The Associate Director of Engineering serves as a role model and mentor to other staff.
